No pleasing everybody

A man and his son were taking a horse to market. They wanted to sell it there. The two were walking. They met a man and he said, "Why are you walking? Why don´t you ride the horse?" So the man lifted his son onto the horse. After a while they met another man. He said, "The boy is lazy. He can ride and the old man must walk." So the boy got off the horse and the man got on it. Then they met a third man who said," That poor boy must walk. That´s not fair!" So the man lifted the boy onto the horse and they both rode it. Then they met a fourth man and he said, " You are too heavy for the horse!" The old man and the boy got off the horse. They tied its legs to a pole , got hold of each end and carried the horse. The horse was not happy and tried to free itself. They were crossing a bridge when the horse got free and fell into the river. The old man and the boy lost the horse. They had tried to make everyone happy but it had not worked out.
