Adverbs + -ly
Adverbs are often formed from adjectives and end in -ly. Use adverbs with verbs. Adverbs express a relation of place, time, manner and cause. Adverbs answer how, when, where, why, how often, how much.
Examples: coldly, wonderfully, madly
Adverb or adjective?

Adjective -ic: add -ally.
- Example:
automatic -

Adjective with 2 consonants + -le: replace the final -e with
-y on its own.
- Example:
simple
- simply
Adjective with two syllables and ends in -y, replace the -y
with -ily:
- Example: happy - happily
